ERC land convoy arrives in Amman to assist Syrian refugees

AMMAN, 2nd July, 2015 (WAM)--The 18th Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) humanitarian aid convoy, carrying food stuff items for Ramadan and shelter materials, has recently arrived in Amman to ease the suffering of the Syrian refugees in Jordan. Since the beginning of the crisis, the ERC has been providing the humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in Jordan through the land convoys, which carry different food stuff items and shelter materials. Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, ERC's Deputy Secretary-General for International Aid, said the 18th ERC convoy, included five trucks, carrying 125 tonnes of dates, flour, books, computers, fans, bed sheets and shoes at cost Dh734, 393, to be distributed to the Syrian refugees through the UAE Embassy in Amman. – Emirates News Agency, WAM -http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395282740813.html
