ERC paints smile on faces of Yemeni children

ADEN, 27th September, 2015 (WAM) – As part of its continuous relief operations in the Governorate of Aden, in Yemen, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has painted a smile on the faces of children with disabilities, when it distributed Eid clothing to them.
Humaid Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the ERC for International Aid Affairs, supervised the distribution of clothes to about 111 children, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The ERC's gesture is part of solidarity with the people of Yemen who are facing a critical humanitarian situation.
Officials in charge of the children with disabilities' centres commended the ERC's kind humanitarian gesture, and noted, "It reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries."
The ERC stated that it boosted its humanitarian response on the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow up by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
It underlined that it has been closely monitoring the unfolding events by maximising its humanitarian initiatives to ease the suffering of the people of Yemen, especially children with the disabilities. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395285990954.html
