EU Minister Bagis describes Danish court's decision on Roj TV as gaff

ANKARA (A.A) - January 10, 2012 - Turkish Minister for European Union (EU) Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Tuesday described a Danish court's decision on Roj TV today as "a misfortune and a gaff whose recovery would be hard to make". In a written statement released Tuesday, Egemen Bagis said that "the decision of the Danish judiciary was a misfortune and a gaff. On one hand, the court stressed that Roj TV was making propaganda of the terrorist organization and, on the other hand, the court did not shut down Roj TV. Such a decision is being irresponsible. This decision of the Danish court is one that serves terror and the terrorist organization". With today's decision, more Danish youth will face the risk of being poisoned by illicit drugs sold by the terrorist organization. The Danish people will now have to live in a less secure country with today's court decision and they will have to live side by side with the terrorist organization, Bagis stressed. We want to wish that the prosecutor appeals this decision and that an upper court corrects this inconsistent decision, Bagis also said.
