EWA receives Omani delegation

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): Vice-President for Distributions and Customer Services at the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Ali Nematallah Al-Nimaa, has affirmed the depth of the fraternal Bahraini-Omani relations, highlighting the kingdom's keenness to enhance joint action across various fields and sectors. Al-Nimaa was speaking while receiving here today a delegation from the Nama Holding Group in Oman, as part of EWA's efforts to bolster cooperation and exchange of expertise with its counterparts in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The Omani delegation was informed about EWA's experience in many fields and projects, particularly the smart meter project. The Distributions and Customer Services Vice-President EWA's plans to install smart meters and develop the infrastructure of its smart network, in line with its efforts to adopt modern technology. He also reviewed EWA's systems related to the management of big data for meters and customer service systems. Al-Nimaa praised the level of the ongoing cooperation between EWA and Nama Group, stressing the importance of enhancing continuous cooperation between the engineers of the two sides to benefit from their technical expertise.
