Executive-legislature relation based on strategic partnership

Manama, Feb. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that Bahrain has achieved a lot thanks to its parliamentary experience, noting that MPs' dedication in the service of the nation deserves appreciation. "MPs are part of a constitutional branch that represents the citizens who elected them by their own will, and therefore, we will never allow any attempt to undermine that branch which should receive all respect and appreciation," HRH Premier said, stressing that all criticism should be based on objectivity and national interests. HRH Premier made the remarks as he received here today several MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari and senior state officials with whom he reviewed local and international issues. HRH the Prime Minister stressed that the region is going through an unprecedented situation of instability that required concerted national efforts to deal with them in a comprehensive way. The Prime Minister praised the existing Executive-Legislature relation which, he said, is based on a strategic partnership marked by past and future achievements, noting that cooperation between the two branches aims to achieve the economic and development goals set in HM the King's National Project. HRH Premier affirmed that the Bahraini people is a one family, and no one can separate its members, noting that whoever bets on dividing the members of the same people through evil plots will certainly fail as they are ignorant of the honourable stances of the Bahraini citizens throughout history.
