Explosion Near Indonesian Embassy In Paris

By Ahmad Fuad Yahya JAKARTA, March 22 (Bernama) -- An explosion went off near the Indonesian Embassy in Paris on Wednesday morning. However, no casualties were reported. Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman Michael Tene said the incident took place at 5.15am local time or 11.15am West Indonesian time. "The explosion caused glass windows at the embassy and other surrouding buildings to shatter," he said in statement on Wednesday. Michael said the incident was being investigated by Paris police and at the moment, the target of the explosion had still not been determined. Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa had spoken to the Indonesian Ambasasador in Paris and requested all officers at the embassy as well as Indonesian nationals to be on the alert, he said. -- BERNAMA
