Female police patrols introduced

Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): Director-General of Traffic, Col. Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa today announced the introduction of traffic patrols that are run by Women Police after passing various training, including swift response and bodyguarding, in addition to carrying multi-tasks that make the assigned personnel capable of handling the patrolling operations and other traffic law enforcement duties. He said that those patrols commenced operation during the hosting of Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One and had proven effectiveness in regulating traffic on roads leading to the Bahrain International Circuit. He said that the trust to assign such tasks to women come after they had proven their competency in all assigned operations in administration, financial and legal fields.
