Flame of Peace Award international tribute to HRH Premier

Manama, March 30 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on receiving the Flame of Peace Award from the Association for the Furtherance of Peace. HRH the Premier is the first Arab Prime Minister to have received such a prestigious award for his crucial role in enhancing humanitarian work, promoting peace and strengthening humanitarian relations among peoples of the world. HRH the Prime Minister was presented today with the award in a celebration held at Gudaibiya Palace in the presence of President of the Austrian Association for the Furtherance of Peace Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete. The Representatives Council Speaker said the award is a translation of HRH the Premier's inherent Bahraini civilisational approach of boosting peaceful co-existence among all social components. He added that the honour also reflects the great international respect accorded to HRH the Prime Minister for his rich record in promoting peace and development in Bahrain and abroad.
