Flood kills 8, displaces over 60,000 in southwest Iran

TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (MNA) – Eight people were killed and about 61,000 were displaced by a flood that hit the southwestern provinces of Khuzestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad on Sunday. Mahmoud Mozaffar, an official at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), told on Sunday that at least 11 villages have been affected by the flood. He also said that the people hit by the flood have been provided with temporary shelters and the injured received outpatient treatment.
