FM meets Azerbaijani, Cypriot, Irish, Marshallian counterparts

New York, Sept. 26 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Simon Coveney, on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted the development of ties between the two countries at all levels, affirming the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to expand joint cooperation with Ireland for the benefit of both countries and people.
For his part, the Irish Foreign Minister hailed the growing relations between the two countries, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also met the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, John Silk.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the two countries and means to develop them to achieve common interest.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
Shaikh Khalid expressed his satisfaction with the development of the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Cyprus in light of the joint keenness to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields in the interest of both countries and people.
For his part, Christodoulides noted the advanced status the Kingdom of Bahrain has reached, stressing that the Republic of Cyprus attaches great importance to strengthening relations with the Kingdom and wishing it further development.
On the sidelines of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, in which he hailed the friendly relations linking the two countries.
He also noted their keenness to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, pointing out the importance of communication between the two countries and the continuation of joint coordination between them on various issues to achieve common interest.
For his part, Mammadyarov expressed the pride of the Republic of Azerbaijan in its friendly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting its keenness to promote all aspects of cooperation, wishing the Kingdom further success.
