Focus On Paediatric Dentistry At Forthcoming International Dental Confab

KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia), April 17 (Bernama) -- Child dental health care will also be given an emphasis at the forthcoming International Scientific Convention and Trade Exhibition here next month participated by the Commonwealth Dental Association, Malaysian Dental Association (MDA) and the World Dental Federation. Three experts in paediatric dentistry have been invited to conduct lectures, workshops and master class during the convention, which will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching from May 24 to 28. Dr Ferranti Wong See Leng from the United Kingdom and Dr Kalaiarasu Peariasamy from Malaysia are expected to share a workshop on "Dental digital photography" where they would touch on the use of clinical photography for dentistry record keeping and treatment planning, the MDA said in a statement here Tuesday. Prof Dr Wong will also share a master class session with Dr Janice Fearne, also from United Kingdom, called "Case-based discussion on dental anomalies" besides discussing how to manage a patient’s dental record from young. The five-day convention cum 69th MDA annual general meeting is organised by MDA in collaboration with the Commonwealth Dental Association. Held for the first time in Sarawak state of east Malaysia, it is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants from Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, London, United States, Korea, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan and China. -- BERNAMA
