Foreign doctors need approval of their expertise to work in Turkey

ANKARA (A.A) - February 22, 2012 - Foreign doctors will need approval of their diploma and expertise in order to work in Turkey. A regulation on working conditions of foreign doctors in private health institutions in Turkey was published in Wednesday's Official Gazette. Accordingly, authorized offices will have to approve that diplomas or expertise of foreign doctors are in line with Turkish regulations. Later, the approval shall be ratified by the Health Ministry. Foreign doctors shall get "B" or a better grade from Turkish language test in order to work in Turkey.  They will also have to get a work and residence permit from Turkey, and have a vocational fiscal responsibility insurance.
