Foreign Minister attends consultative meeting

Riyadh, Apr.12 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in the consultative meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The meeting was on the sidelines of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ Preparatory Meeting, ahead of the 29th Arab Summit, which will be held in Saudi Arabia. The ministers discussed the latest regional and international developments and issues of common concern, affirming their countries' steadfast positions to combat extremism and terrorism. They stressed their rejection of any attempts to interfere in the affairs of the Arab countries from outside the region, stressing their solidarity and to intent to continue coordination of stances in order to maintain security and stability of the Arab region as a whole. They also discussed the Qatari crisis developments and stressed their steady position to get Qatar to answer the list of 13 demands and adhere to the six principles of the Cairo meeting and the Manama Declaration as a prerequisite for normalizing relations. The ministers also agreed to continue coordinating and exchanging consultations in the upcoming period.
