Foreign minister attends Souq Okaz opening

Manama, June 28 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa participated in the opening of the 12th edition of Souq Okaz in Taif, Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince of Mecca, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal attended the event, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the President for Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) and Chairman of the Supreme Supervisory Committee of Souq Okaz, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The minister thanked His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman Al Saud for his invitation to attend the opening of Souq Okaz, expressing pride in taking part of this cultural and touristic event that has gained recognition at both the gulf and regional levels. Shaikh Khalid hailed the efforts exerted by SCTH in developing Souq Okaz as well as highlighting and preserving the heritage of the Kingdom. He also noted that the SCTH has implemented a number of cultural and touristic projects which reflect the capabilities of Saudi Arabia.
