Foreign Minister hails Clinton Global Initiative

New York, Sep. 19 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, attended reception held by ex-American president on the honour of heads of states and heads of delegations participating in the Clinton Global Initiative which took place in New York city in the United States.
The Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King, H.R.H the Prime Minister and H.R.H the Crown Prince, First Deputy Supreme Commander, Deputy Prime Minister, to H.E. ex-president of the United States of America, Mr. Bill Clinton wishing him utmost health and success in his valued efforts to put remedies to the World's current problems through the Clinton Initiative.
The Minister took part as well in the opening session of the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, stressing on the importance of this initiative in bringing peace to the World and providing all means of support to overcome the common challenges that face the international community to establish a bright and secure future for all nations.
Clinton Global Initiative was established in 2007 by the American ex-president Bill Clinton and it holds its annual meetings on September in New York city with the presence of a number of World leaders and figures that has international contributions in addition to media, art and NGOs figures, in order to discuss and exchange views on different economic and social issues related to the current times.
