Foreign Minister lauds HM King's visit to Switzerland

11 : 03 PM - 13/05/2016 Bern, May 13 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, has affirmed that the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Swiss Confederation represents a significant step to consolidate ties and enhance cooperation between the two countries as well as it was an opportunity for both sides to discuss issues of common concern.. He added that the constructive talks, the variety of issues discussed and the signed memoranda and agreements would undoubtedly open up broader horizons for cooperation in economic and trade fields and help them underpin the mechanisms of bilateral consultation and cooperation in human rights to avail the two sides. He added that HM’s visit is expected to enhance women’s role to keep up with the aspirations of the two countries, reinforce the two countries’ interests, boost the framework of coordination with the Swiss Confederation at international forums, positively impact regional issues and help the world countries tackle the challenges they face.
