Foreign Minister meets ACD secretary-general

Bangkok, Oct. 8 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Secretary-General, Bundit Limschon, on the sidelines of the visit of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who is heading the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the second Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit held here from October 8 to 10. Shaikh Khalid affirmed the importance of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue’s goals to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to cooperate with member states to achieve these goals in the ideal manner. He added that this was in line with the Kingdom’s belief that these goals will benefit all member states and will bolster joint interests. This is in addition to achieving the aspirations of the people of member states for further progress and prosperity, he said. The minister noted that bolstering cooperation among member states in all fields will ensure overcoming obstacles facing these countries and establishing security and peace in the region. Shaikh Khalid said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was a founding member of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, whishing the second the summit success in achieving its goals for the benefit of all people at all levels, Mr Limschon praised the important role of the Kingdom of Bahrain to bolster relations among Asian Cooperation Dialogue member states and achieve its goals, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
