Foreign Minister meets AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer

New York, Sept. 23 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met at the United Nations Headquarters in New York today, the American Jewish Committee Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer, Jason Isaacson, and members of the committee, on the sidelines of the 77th UNGA session. They underlined the importance of enhancing the solid relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States and discussed areas of cooperation to achieve the objectives set forth in the Abraham Accords that would strengthen the foundations of peace and stability and spread a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the region and the world. They also discussed latest developments in the region, and the efforts aimed at reaching a solution to the Palestinian issue, lay the foundations for comprehensive peace in the Middle East, and protect the region's security and stability. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Rowaiei, and the delegation accompanying the minister.
