Foreign Minister meets Arab Parliament Speaker

Manama, June 30 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, and his accompanying delegation. The minister praised the role of the Arab Parliament in serving Arab issues and interests at all regional and international gatherings as well as bolstering pan-Arab work. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Speaker in bolstering Arab parliamentary action and boosting the Arab Parliament’s capabilities as an important establishment in facing various challenges for Arab countries, promoting security and stability and achieving aspirations for further progress and prosperity. Al Jarwan affirmed the stance of the Arab Parliament in supporting Bahrain in all measures taken to protect its security and stability and the safety of its people. He reiterated rejection of any kind of interference in the kingdom’s internal affairs, stressing the Arab Parliament’s resolve to continue serving the Arab interests and defending national security. He commended Bahrain’s key role in developing Arab cooperation, wishing it continuous progress and prosperity. Both sides also reviewed the latest developments in the region.
