Foreign Minister meets former Portuguese Premier

Cairo, Sep. 8 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, on the sidelines of the 146th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level held today in Cairo, met with former Portuguese Prime Minister and candidate for the post of the UN secretary-general, Antonio Guterres. The Foreign Minister praised Guterres' long and respected statesmanship acquired through assuming several positions in his country, and wished him success. A number of regional and international topics of shared interest were discussed.
