Foreign Minister meets Pakistani counterpart

Islamabad, Mar. 22 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met with Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on the sidelines of the 48th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, held in Islamabad. The minister conveyed to his Pakistani counterpart the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Pakistani leadership and the friendly Pakistani people on Pakistan’s celebration of its 75th Independence Day. Minister Al Zayani said that they also extended their best wishes for success for the 48th session the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. The meeting discussed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and means to strengthen and develop them in various fields to serve common interests and aspirations. The two sides highlighted the topics on the meeting’s agenda and ways to enhance the role of OIC regarding global developments.
