Foreign Minister meets parliamentary committee

Manama, Oct.10 (BNA): Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s participation in the 74th UN General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York, the USA. He underlined Bahrain’s stances regarding regional and international issues as well as consultation on current developments unfolding in the region. This came as he met the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee at the Council of Representatives to shed light on Bahrain’s participation at the 74th UN General Assembly (UNGA) session. Committee chairman Mp. Mohammed Al-Sisi Al-Bouainain hailed the minister’s efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s relations with countries in the world based on mutual respect to serve joint interests. He praised the minister’s keenness on consultation and communication with the Council of Representatives regarding issues related to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its citizens. The minister also commended the efforts exerted by the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee and all members of the legislative branch of government to consolidate relations binding Bahrain with other countries in the world.
