Foreign Minister meets Russian clergyman

Moscow, Nov. 20 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today, Archbishop Niphon Saikali, representative of the Patriarchate of Antioch and all the East of the Greek Orthodox to the Patriarchate of Moscow and all Russia, during his official visit to the Russian Federation. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Archbishop Niphon Saikali, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is committed to its policy of constructive communication with the countries of the world and proud of its role and initiatives aimed at consolidating coexistence, dialogue and mutual respect between people and religions, recognizing the importance of these values as the basic pillars necessary for the advancement of societies and achieve development and progress. For his part, Bishop Niphon Saikali praised the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading model in religious diversity and respect for freedom of rights, expressing his deep appreciation for the great efforts being made on the regional and international levels to promote the rapprochement of civilizations and cultures, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
