Foreign minister partakes in troika meeting

New York,Sep. 22 (BNA):Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa took part in a joint ministerial meeting between the ministers of foreign affairs of GCC states, the UK and the US, which was attended by the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Republic Yemen. The meeting reaffirmed the full commitment to the unity of Yemen, respect for its sovereignty and independence and rejecting any interference in its internal affairs, as well as the importance of reaching a political solution in accordance with the Gulf initiative and its mechanism, in addition to the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and unconditional implementation of Security Council resolution 2216 (2015), calling for the need to continue efforts for the restoration of security and stability in Yemen.
