Foreign minister participates in EDB breakfast seminar in Davos

Davos, Jan. 25 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, said that cooperation between the kingdom of Bahrain and world countries is witnessing remarkable progress thanks to the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
He also ascribed the progress to the constructive openness and fruitful interaction with the International community and to the great and fertile investment potentials of the kingdom of Bahrain that have, along with its economic vision, enabled it to compete at the international level.
The minister’s remarks came as he attended a breakfast Seminar, organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB) on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, the Swiss Confederation, in the presence of EDB Chief Executive, Khalid Al Rumaihi, and a number of top businessmen from around the world.
The minister added that continuing work with allies and partners to boost partnership and bilateral cooperation levels tops the Kingdom of Bahrain’s priorities to increase trade exchange rates and carry on the comprehensive multi-level development taking place in the Kingdom.
He noted that Bahraini people stand out in that they tend to cooperate with other peoples of the world and accept the other, with high keenness to obtain the highest levels of education in all fields, which constitutes a valuable catalyst for development and progress.
During the symposium, Khalid Al Rumaihi and the participants reviewed economic cooperation and the many investment opportunities that have been made available in the kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries thanks to the wise economic policies that left a positive impact on all investment fields.
