Foreign Minister participates in GCC-EU Ministerial Meeting

Brussels, Feb. 21 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, participated in the 26th Gulf Cooperation Council-European Union ministerial meeting in Brussels in the Kingdom of Belgium today. The meeting was chaired His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council of the GCC, and in the presence of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the Secretary-General of the GCC, Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf. The meeting reviewed the historic friendly relations between the GCC and the EU and addressed the means of enhancing cooperation between the two sides in various fields. GCC and EU ministers also underlined continuing coordination and cooperation regarding developments and challenges to security and stability in the region as well as supporting the efforts aimed at enhancing security and peace at the regional and international levels.
