Foreign minister receives Egypt's UNESCO nominee

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today received Moushira Khattab, former Minister of Family and Population and Egypt's nominee for the post of Director-General of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Shaikh Khalid welcomed Moushira Khattab and congratulated her on her nomination for the Director-General of UNESCO. He stressed that this nomination is a right choice as she has a track record and undeniable accumulated experience, wishing her success in the upcoming elections for the Director-General of the UNESCO in early 2017. She commended Bahrain's support and continuous backing to Egypt at all times and circumstances. She also extended her gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom's leadership, government, and people, and stated that Bahrain's support to her nomination illustrates the deep rooted historical ties between the two countries
