Foreign Minister receives Russian scholar

Manama, Oct.29 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, received in his office at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Director of the Russian Institute of Oriental Studies, Professor Vitaly Naumkin and his accompanying delegation. The Minister of Foreign Affairs valued the efforts of the institute in promoting the Arab and Islamic culture through its cultural activities and programs. He noted the importance of exchanging expertise in the scientific, intellectual and cultural fields in order to enhance understanding and communication between people, wishing the institute further success. For his part, Professor Vitaly highlighted the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting the values of intercultural coexistence and dialogue, wishing it further development and prosperity.
