Foreign minister receives UK delegation

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received former Chief of the Defence Staff, Lord David Richards and Baron George Robertson. Shaikh Khalid expressed the Kingdom’s pride in the continuous progress of the historic relations and strategic partnership with the United Kingdom and how it is reflecting on all fields, serving the interests of the two countries.  The minister stressed Bahrain's keenness to move forward with the close relations and to broaden join cooperation further for the best interests of both countries, praising the efforts of Lord David Richards and Baron George Robertson in supporting the security of the region.  Lord Richards and Baron Robertson expressed their appreciation of the close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing their keenness to strengthen them on all levels, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
