Foreign Minister receives US counterpart

Manama, Apr 6 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, was at the forefront of those who were at the airport to welcome John Kerry, the Secretary of State of the Friendly United States, upon his arrival to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the start of the an official visit. During his visit, Kerry is scheduled to meet with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and first Deputy Prime Minister, as well as he will hold official talks with the Foreign Affairs Minister. Shaikh Khalid welcomed the US Secretary of State, expressing pride in his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain as reflective of the high level of historical bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and indicative of the constant keenness of both countries to develop and diversify areas of bilateral cooperation to meet common aspirations and mutual interests and reflect positively on the security , stability and development of the region. On the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, John Kerry will take part in the joint ministerial meeting with the GCC Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
