Foreign Ministry Undersecretary hails Bahrain-Saudi strategic ties

Riyadh, Apr.21 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, praised the depth of the close historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He stressed solid strategic partnership binding the two countries under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The undersecretary was speaking as he chaired the Bahraini side in the work team of the “Political and Diplomatic Cooperation Committee” of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which was held today in Riyadh.
The Saudi side was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political and Economic Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Saud bin Mohammad Al-Sati.
During the meeting, ways of consolidating the political and diplomatic partnership between the two countries through exchanging official visits, activating bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, executive mechanisms and initiatives were reviewed.
The second council’s meeting was chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The two sides affirmed their determination to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields and increase political coordination to crystallize common positions on all regional and international developments and challenges, in a way that contributes to achieving security, stability and prosperity.
