Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets IPU official

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): .Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa the Director for Member Parliaments and External Relations at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Anda Filip. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa affirmed Bahrain's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the IPU, expressing the Kingdom's pride in hosting the General Assembly of the IPU next year. He underlined the Kingdom’s success in consolidating an advanced and pioneering democratic practice, noting the effective role of the legislative authority in the decision-making process, in addition to the constructive participation of women and youth at all levels. Ambassador Anda Philip stressed that choosing the Kingdom of Bahrain to host the General Assembly of the IPU in 2023 shows the progress of the democratic and legislative process in the Kingdom, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
