Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets Omani counterpart

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met today at the Court of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy. During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa expressed his pride in the advanced level of the distinguished historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the brotherly Sultanate of Oman, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his brother, HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's interest in strengthening its strategic partnership with the Sultanate of Oman in various fields, which would reflect positively on bilateral ties and open new and diverse horizons for cooperation to achieve common aspirations. For his part, the Omani Undersecretary praised the well-established brotherly relations between his country and the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing his aspiration to strengthen them in all fields, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity. The meeting also witnessed a review of the outcomes of the meetings of the joint committee between the two brotherly countries, in addition to issues of common interest.
