Foreign Ministry Undersecretary meets US Congress delegation

Manama, Nov.11 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met today with a delegation of the US Senate and Congress staff, as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah lauded the historic relations and distinguished strategic partnership linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America. He also briefed the US delegation on the vision and efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in achieving sustainable development, combating terrorism, and promoting peace and stability in the region. For its part, the US Congress delegation commended the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields, valuing its remarkable efforts in promoting the values of peace and coexistence at the regional and international levels.
