Foreign Ministry Undersecretary receives Jordanian, Palestinian ambassadors

Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received today the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ramy Al-Adwan, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom, Taha Abdulqader. They reviewed the relations of brotherhood and cooperation that unite the Kingdom of Bahrain with the two brotherly countries, and ways of developing them to achieve common interests. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest. The Undersecretary for Political Affairs stressed the firm stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the need to respect the historical and legal situation in Jerusalem and the role of Jordan in managing Jerusalem’s endowments and the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to ensuring the freedom to practise religious rituals for all religions. He also highlighted the importance of the international community to assume its responsibilities in calming, and creating a real political prospect to achieve a just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the principle of the two-state solution, in accordance with the resolutions of the international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, and in a manner that promotes security, peace and prosperity for the countries and people of the Middle East.
