Forum to focus on MIKIA sustainable development priorities

Manama, Dec.2 (BNA) – Officials from Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey will address at a seminar the Sustainable Development Priorities of MIKTA, an innovative partnership between Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey and Australia, formed in 2013, on the sidelines of the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly on “Promotion Of Sustainable Development And Sustained Economic Growth” The seminar hosted by the International Peace Institute, Middle East and North Africa (IPI, MENA)on December 5 will feature presentations by Hatun Demirer, Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain, Muhsin Syihab, Director for Development, Economic and Environmental Affairs, Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Yoon Jiwan, Director of Policy Analysis, Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The presentations will be followed by an interactive session with the audience, which will include government officials, diplomats, representatives of civil society, private sector, media and academia. The seminar aims at highlighting MIKTA achievements. IPI promotes Sustainable Development to achieve peace as stipulated in the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.
