Four Indonesian Designers Take Part In PFW

Jakarta, Sept 19 (Antara) - Four Indonesian designers will take part in the world class Paris Fashion Week (PFW) by the end of this month. "Based on the program of Indonesian Fashion Forward by the Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), four of our designers will have a slot to show their works at the Paris Fashion Week," JFW Chairman Svida Alisjahbana said here on Wednesday night. Toton, Major Minor and Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan will introduce their collections through an exhibition, Trace Spring Summer 2014 Paris Showrooms at the PFW. "They will interact with international buyers as Indonesian designers," Svida said. Tex Saverino will appear at a single fashion show in the PFW at the Place de la Concorde, Paris. Fashion products to be displayed by Tex is ready for use wear he designed himself. "This is our opportunity to further promote Indonesia," Inneke Margarethe, a designer from the fashion line of Major Minor, said Inneke said many international designers begin to use a design originating from Indonesia but few of them know that the techniques they use had it root in Indonesia. "It is our uniqueness and this is an opportunity for us to be better known in the world," she said.
