Four Killed After Being Swept Away By Sea Water

Serang, Banten, Jan 2 (ANTARA) - Four people were killed after being swept away by sea water at the Anyer beach in Banten province on Tuesday, police said. They were swept away by big waves while swimming in the sea at around 08.30 a.m., chief of the Cilegon police resort Adj. Snr. Comr. Defrian Donimando said. The bodies of the four people, identified as Galib (17), Aldo (18), Ical (17), and Farhan (16), had been taken by their relatives to their hometown in South Tangerang district for burial, he said. Actually, the coast guard had warned all visitors against swimming in the sea due to bad weather. However, the call had gone unnoticed, he added. "We ask all Anyer beach visitors not to swim in the sea for the time being," he said.
