Gadjah Mada University Offers 300 Research Reports To Companies

Yogyakarta, Dec 5 (ANTARA) - Gadjah Mada University (UGM) will offer 300 research reports to national companies and state-owned enterprises during the Indonesia Industry Research Forum (IIRF) 2012, which is scheduled to be held on December 7-8. "UGM this year offers research results in sectors such as health, medicine, food, new energy, transportation management, defence technology and information technology," IIRF organizing committee chairman Yusril Yusuf said here on Wednesday. He stated that the developing industries of Indonesia must be supported by innovative industrial research. The IIRF 2012 is part of the university�s efforts to assist Indonesia in developing the potential of its industries. Meanwhile, UGM vice rector Suratman noted that science and technology �support the development of industries and make them more efficient, productive, innovative and sustainable�. The IIRF is an annual forum conducted by UGM since 2009. The main objective of the forum is to host discussions among university researchers and businessmen on how to improve industrial research in Indonesia and use it to improve companies` competitiveness.
