GCC Creativity Conference 2016 kicks off

Manama, May 8 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of Bahrain Athletics Association and founder of KHK MMA organisation Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa patronised today the opening of the GCC Creativity Conference 2016 at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain Hotel.
The opening of the two-day event was attended by Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, Head of the parliamentary Youth and Sport Committee MP Ghazi Al Rahma, Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, President of the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) Dr. Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Najjar, from the UAE, officials and an elite of entrepreneurs and academics.
Shaikh Khalid stressed Bahrain's status as a major host of scientific and innovative conferences which are aimed at developing Bahraini youngsters' potentials. He affirmed that the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has given a great importance to the scientific and technological field due to its role in tapping on the innovative potentials of the youth. He pointed out the government's role in translating the royal directives into a reality through programmes aimed at honing the skills of Bahraini youngsters and availing of their capabilities to serve Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. He also commended the distinguished efforts of Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in clicking on the creativity potentials of the youth.
Shaikh Khalid honoured strategic partners and the cooperative parties as well as the keynote speakers for their cooperation to benefit the youth from a wide range of experiences. Then, he received a commemorative gift from President of Ibtikar Bahrain Society Osama Al Khaja on the occasion.
