GCC Ministers of Culture Honor Number of Qatari Innovators in Riyadh

Riyadh, October 27 (QNA) - The ministers of culture in the Gulf Cooperation Council honored during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 26th meeting of GCC ministers of culture a group of cultural, heritage and the arts elite, who had contributions and initiatives in a number of fields and left an impact in the fields of culture, thought and creativity in the Gulf. Among them were a number of Qatari creators in various cultural, heritage and literary fields, including Director of the National Museum of Qatar Sheikha Amna bint Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Ibrahim Al Mansouri who is specialized in archeology, Dr. Ali Al Kubaisi who is specialized in studies and intellectual production and Mohammed Abdullah who is specialized in heritage. The honor was an embodiment of the keenness of the Cultural Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council to shed light on the symbols of the Gulf states, and in appreciation of their vital and effective role in supporting joint cultural work, and what they offer to support and enhance the status of Arab culture and Gulf identity. This is based on the committee's strategic objectives, which encourage the cultural product linked to identity and raise the value of citizenship and consolidate its pillars. The list of honorees also included a group of innovators in the fields of culture, thought and creativity from GCC states, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Kuwait. The event is held annually within the annual plan of cultural events and activities, accompanying the meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies Ministers of Culture, During the event, creators are honored, for their contribution to enriching the Gulf cultural scene in the fields of arts, literature, theater, cinema, antiquities, museums and others.
