GCC Secretary General participates in Manama Dialogue opening session

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani took part in the opening session of IISS Manama Dialogue 2019. He expressed appreciation of Bahrain’s hosting of the major international conference for the 15th consecutive year which confirms the kingdom’s high regional and international status and its vital role in providing a platform for dialogue and exchanging views on strategic issues as well as security and political challenges facing the region. The GCC Secretary General underlined the importance of the conference at a sensitive time when the Middle East is undergoing hard circumstances due to wars and conflicts in many countries. He also pointed out political turmoil in many countries which affirm the importance of such conferences to exchange views among politicians and decision makers on ways of ending the destructive conflicts and promoting regional security and stability.
