GEFT-2016 to open on Wednesday

Manama, May 14 (BNA): The Gulf Education Future Technology-GEFT2016 forum will open in Bahrain on Wednesday (May18). The Two-day event will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al- Nuaimi. The GEFT2016 symposium is expected to attract more than 200 participants, including principals, teachers and IT specialists from schools and universities in Bahrain especially. Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) President Ubaidly Ubaidly said that GEFT 2016 coincides with the launch of the "Digital Empowerment in Education" project. Work Smart Chairman Ahmed Al-Hujairi said the forum will bring together educational institutions and IT firms to have a deeper grasp of the needs of e-learning and keep abreast of latest digital empowerment trends. "The forum will discuss the IT infrastructure, programmes and applications used in telecommunications and e-learning procedures", he said.
