Global Reciter final ceremony to be held on April 24

Manama, Apr.8 (BNA): Bahrain will host the final ceremony of the Bahrain web-based International Quran Recitation (Global Reciter) on the 24th of April. Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Farid bin Yacoub Al-Meftah announced the final ceremony of the competition, being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Dr. Al-Meftah paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for their care. The 3rd edition has attracted more than 9200 contestants from 81 countries, the highest since the global competition was first launched in 2014. The second edition attracted 7000 participants from 91 countries worldwide, up from up from 5000 from 83 countries in the first edition which was held four years ago.
