Government extends mourning period to Oct 29

BANGKOK, Oct 10 (TNA) - The government has extended the mourning period for His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej for another two days from Oct 27 to 29. Assistant Government Spokesperson Col Thaksada Sangkhachan said the Cabinet meeting resolved that government agencies and embassies abroad fly the Thai national flag at half-mast from Oct 13 to 29 during the royal cremation ceremony of the late King Bhumibol. All mourning placards and black and white cloth banners are to be removed from all government offices and roads on Oct 29. Civil servants, state enterprise employees are advised to cease mourning from Oct 30. (TNA)
