Government Forum 2016, roadmap to the future

Manama, Sep. 22 (BNA): The Government Forum will usher in a new phase in Government work to ensure excellence and outstanding services for citizens, said Works Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf. He stressed the importance of the forum which set three ambitious goals for the coming period: - redefining the role of the public sector to become the economic regulator and partner of the private sector, fostering creativity and competitiveness and investing in citizens, the main asset of national development and progress. In a statement to Bahrain News (BNA), he reiterated the ministry’s resolve to continue dedicated efforts to meet 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision (2030), which was launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. He hailed the crucial importance of the Government Forum, which was held under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. He commended the presentation delivered by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister which highlight different facets of Government work in the coming period. He reiterated the ministry’s unflinching determination to provide high quality services, stressing the vital importance of partnership with the private sector, culture of creativity, excellence and competitiveness.
