Government Forum pioneering step for more achievements

Manama, Sep. 18 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla praised holding the Government Forum 2016 at the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to press ahead with development priorities and goals to achieve citizens' aspirations. He described the event, held under the aegis of His Royal Highness the Premier and with the support of HRH the Crown Prince, as a pioneering step on the path of national accomplishment to achieve Bahrain's strategic vision 2030. The Representatives Council Speaker affirmed that the forum reflects keenness on continuous development and the significance of collective work in a proactive and comprehensive formula to serve the nation and citizens. He also pointed out the parliament's support to all programmes and initiatives aimed at developing performance of the public sector and achieving the Economic Vision 2030. He underlined keenness to boost positive cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, pointing out the legislative and monitoring role of the Representatives Council. He also underscored the need for concerted national efforts to ensure a better future for Bahrain. The Representatives Council Speaker said the Government Forum would contribute to informing the MPs about ways of upgrading performance of the public sector, boosting productivity and progress in achieving Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The forum, he added, will also help spotlight the government's action plan, the development schemes, projects, the role of the private sector in development, achievements and ways of overcoming challenges.
