The CEO emphasised the role played by Bahrain’s Vision 2030 in accelerating sustainable growth, including supporting long-term environmental quality and innovative policies. The CEO pointed out that the meeting reflects the government’s firm commitment to continuing to introduce effective policies that tackle environmental issues and ensuring long-term sustainability. The CEO concluded by highlighting the crucial role played by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, in advancing sustainable development efforts across Bahrain’s key sectors. The CEO went on to praise the instrumental role played by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the President of the Supreme Council for Environment, in supporting significant initiatives that gained international and regional recognition. The outcomes of the meeting will receive a final round of review and approval at the upcoming workshop taking place on Sunday 4 March 2018, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
