Governor hails Bahrain-U.S security cooperation

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received here today the U.S Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Siberell. The governor lauded the strong Bahraini-U.S relations, and the continuous cooperation in various fields. In this regard, he highlighted the long-standing distinguished bilateral security cooperation, which, he said, has contributed effectively to achieving security and stability in the region, calling for the need to support joint initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali reviewed with the ambassador topics and issues of mutual interest, noting that the progress boom currently witnessed by the Southern Governorate, including wide-ranging projects across various fields, have made the governorate the first destination at all levels. The Southern Governor wished the U.S envoy every success in assuming his diplomatic duties in a way that fulfills the aspirations and interests of the two friendly countries. Ambassador Justin Siberell expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Southern Governor for the meeting, stressing full readiness to enhance cooperation and coordination with the governorate. He also wished the Southern Governorate further progress and prosperity.
