BANGKOK, October 28 (TNA) - Sixteen people were injured Saturday in a roadside bomb attack on a night market in Pattani Province, Southern Thailand.
Police said an M61 hand grenade had allegedly been used by two men on a motorbike in the attack, which occurred in Sai Buri District.
The same market had earlier been threatened by a bomb blast on October 15, but no one was injured.
Police additionally reported shootings in Raman district of Yala province, where former defence volunteer Muhamad Musor was found dead in a rubber plantation in Tambon Talo Halor locality. The victim had allegedly been dismissed two years earlier for narcotic involvement.
Meanwhile, in Hat Yai district of Songkhla province, security operatives had been mobilized to protect locals against possible untoward incidents during the Hari Raya festival. (TNA)
